About the event

Join us for an important webinar covering three new California Senate Bills—SB 253, SB 261, and SB 219—that will soon require large businesses operating in California to disclose greenhouse gas emissions and climate-related financial risks.
SB 253 (Climate Corporate Data Accountability Act) mandates that companies with over $1 billion in annual revenue publicly report their Scope 1, 2, and eventually Scope 3 GHG emissions, starting in 2026 using 2025 data.
SB 261 requires companies with over $500 million in revenue to submit biennial reports on climate-related financial risks, with the first reports due by January 1, 2026.
SB 219 introduces amendments to these two laws, further aligning corporate climate disclosures with evolving regulatory standards.
